Please read these guidelines before your first appointment. These policies help protect everyone’s time, keep appointments predictable, and make communication clear.
General
You and I are engaged in psychotherapy. You are free to stop this work at any time. Only, in relation to the mutual commitment and the sense of the therapeutic relationship, it is desirable to inform me of your decision to end the therapy.
Appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling
- Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the appointment.
- A cancellation made with less than 24 hours’ notice will generally be treated as a no-show and will be charged fully.
- If an emergency, sudden illness, or other exceptional circumstance prevents timely notice, please make contact as soon as reasonably possible.
Late arrivals
- If you expect to be late, please notify the provider as soon as possible. Advance notice is strongly preferred, even if the delay seems minor.
- Minutes missed because of a client’s late arrival count as part of the booked appointment time.
- Appointments will end at the originally scheduled time so that later clients and commitments are not affected.
Online appointments
- For online appointments, join from a quiet, private place with a stable connection and test your equipment in advance.
Respect, privacy, and boundaries
- Do not record an appointment unless everyone involved has agreed in advance.
- Please protect your own privacy when choosing where and how to join an online appointment.
